Painted on top of what I call my ‘playgrounds’ – colours, lines of ink and charcoal loosely applied with no intention other than to have fun. Most of my paintings start out in this fashion. They are the product of random sessions painting with the music on and me in my reverie! Occasionally, some of them start to form into little abstract landscapes, as with these. And I let the results reveal themselves layer by layer.
