One of a small series that started life as colour studies in abstract form, they are transformed by palette knife into richly textured semi-abstract paintings depicting the wildness of the sea on a windy day. Inspiration came from my trip to Cornwall where walks along cliffs and beaches looking down into the secret coves never fails to leave a lasting impression. This painting looks simply beautiful, framed in its grey frame - and if you like the idea of a gallery wall effect, there are three other paintings in the series.
