Amethyst Light

£550.00

I visited a friend of mine, and we were talking about crystals - specifically amethysts. It inspired me to rush back to my studio and start a painting using an amethyst colour ground – a colour I rarely, if ever, use!
I was thrilled with how this one came together, and how much it reminded me of my mother (she played in Schubert’s ‘Lilac Time’ during the war) and this turquoise glass jug is so like one I remember from my childhood.

Artwork is 50 × 50cm (framed 66 × 66cm)
Acrylic, oil pastel, oil pigment, pencil.
