Fire and Ice
This series of abstract paintings in the palette of cool and hot colours was painted during the blistering heat of summer 2022. I loved the novelty of so much sunshine, (after all, this is the UK, we are not so used to it) but a few weeks in, and I started to crave the cool interiors of my home. Subliminally, I think it influenced me in my choice of colours… and the appearance of that red hot sun!
