Lately I’ve been drawn to soft neutrals as a change from some of the bolder colours I often use. This elegant still life painting features a little of both. Mellow beige and pink tones give a calm and gentle outlook, but look a little closer and you’ll find my favourite pop of magenta peeping through (I couldn’t resist) and of course, the vibrant blue stripes that anchor the composition.
