THE BELLARMINE
Inspired by one of the lovely old Victorian stone bellarmine jugs on my windowsill, this painting is a multi-layered and textural study of its fabulous shape. Look closely and you’ll find song lyrics, newsprint and maybe even a glimpse of colourful pheasant feathers. Straddling the space between realistic and abstract, it’s an interesting piece that begs a closer look, and will live happily in both traditional and contemporary settings.
ACRYLIC/COLLAGE
Framed in a classic grey frame, it measures 43.5cm x 43.5cm (unframed art is: 36 x 36cm)

Fabulous multi-layered artwork for the home, this painting is abstract art with a difference, featuring layers of collage and paint to create a beautiful wall art that draws the viewer in for a closer look. Part of a series of ‘vessels’ that are in my home, they’ll look striking shown together (series includes another painting this size, called Ma’s Big Vase, plus three others that are slightly smaller, Barbados Bowl, Gwen’s Custard Jug and Stone Jar.
