A pretty abstract in fresh green tones contrasted against a striking red, inspired by the ivy leaves and berries that grow on my old drystone walls. I found this poem by Charles Dickens which perfectly illustrates the tenacity of this wildest of plants.
For the stateliest building man can raise, is the Ivy’s food at last. Creeping on, where time has been, a rare old plant is the Ivy green.

A beautiful, multi-layered and textured abstract painting inspired by ivy covered walls. It brought to mind an old photograph of our house showing an ancient petrol pump that used to stand near the barn (it is long gone now, and in its place is an ivy-covered dry-stone wall), but look closely - you may still catch a ghostly glimpse of that old petrol pump!
