The Yellow Dish

£550.00
Sold Out

The things on my kitchen worktop are often my inspiration for a still life painting, no matter how ordinary they may seem when first viewed. A Half finished bottle of Rosé, a bright yellow dish of fruit and my old vase with a bunch of hydrangeas cut from the garden that day. When painted in my loose, impressionistic way, they can become a thing of beauty. Even the linen tea towel I was using to dry the fruit has a place.

ACRYLIC, OIL PASTEL, CHARCOAL AND COLLAGE ON A CRADLED WOOD PANEL
Set in a wide St Ives frame (painted in Farrow & Ball Strong White) measuring 66 × 66cm (Artwork is 50 × 50cm)
