Blue Bottle, Green Vase
An abstract still life painting inspired by the Italian art retreat I took this summer. There was always lots of inspiration in the beautiful scenery, but even the tables at lunch and dinner were a source of delight, with their blue water bottles and jugs of wine. This painting was started whilst I was there, with layers of collage and acrylic, oil pastel and pencil – and finished when i returned to my studio.
